Rose Quartz - The Stone of Love

Holy Noley, Stone of the Month, February, Rose Quartz Meaning and Uses, Pink Healing Crystal, Crystals for Love, Crystals for a Broken Heart

Oh Rose Quartz, such a beautiful stone.

Maybe it is just me, but whenever I see a piece of rose quartz my heart smiles a little bit. That beautiful pinkish hue just reminds me of all things love. As February is all about love with Valentine's Day, rose quartz was the perfect stone to pick for Stone of the Month.

Rose Quartz is associate with the heart chakra, the energy wheel that lives in your chest and connects the bottom three chakras (your physical self) with your top three chakras (your spiritual self). It represents Divine love and compassion.

Emotionally, rose quartz is the perfect stone to attract love into your life and aids in all matters of the heart. It can help to attract your soulmate and opens you up to self-love. As it is a quartz stone, it amplifies the energies surrounding you which allows you to send unconditional love to those who need it most. Whether you are fresh from a break up, looking for love or in a relationship, rose quartz brings and sustains unconditional love in your life.

Rose Quartz is associated with the heart chakra and the signs of Taurus and Libra. A mantra to use when meditating on this stone is "I am pure love. I attract and project pure love"

Catching Up: A Summer Recap

End Of Summer, New Releases, Crystal Jewelry, Long Island Summer, Healing Crystals

Summer seems to be flying by and I'm really not OK with it.

Does any one else have that feeling? I feel like before we know it, we'll be back fighting off the cold and snow and wishing it was warm again. I'm not ready for that!

This summer has been pretty laid back and it has given me a chance to really fine tune my vision for Holy Noley and work on where I wanted to go with it while I've been a bit slow. It has also been a time of immense change and upheaval in my personal life so I've been glad that I had time to focus on that.

June : Move, Change, Shift

Most of June was spent preparing myself mentally and physically for my family to move. My mom and brother decided to make a huge life change and move across the country so I had to move most of my belongings into storage. Though this was extremely stressful for me, it also felt cleansing. I had a big room at home, therefore I had a lot of STUFF. Lots of things that didn't serve a purpose in my life anymore. Having to pack gave me a chance to clear out some of the clutter. It is seriously refreshing to let go of things!

July : Craft Fair and a Big Change

July seemed to be over in a blink. Holy Noley was a vendor at a craft fair and it was the first time I had to do a single table set up. It was a learning experience for sure! I honestly love selling in person. It is so much fun connecting with people, both buyers and other vendors.

I also decided in July to take a huge step and open up my own ecommerce site independent of Etsy. I love Etsy but decided it was time to diversify. This was huge for me and working on building a website had a bit of a learning curve but overall I think it came out nicely. I like the freedoms that it offers over Etsy, but plan to continue to sell on both platforms for now.

August : New Releases

I opened the new shop on August 1st, amid the shock of my grandmother's sudden passing. With this shop site opening, I added a bunch of new pieces, mainly stacking bracelet sets. Some of my favorites pieces include the Amethyst and Bronze Heart Set, Lepidolite Bracelet, and Amazonite Moon Mala. I'm looking forward to continuing to grow this site and continue on the path of the style of jewelry I am currently making.

Mala Necklace, Yoga Jewelry, Tassel Necklace, Amazonite Gemstone Jewelry

Amethyst Jewelry, Bronze Heart Bracelet, Gemstone Jewelry, Healing Crystals

Tassel Bracelet, Om Jewelry, Amethyst Bracelet, Stacking Bracelet Set, Jewelry Sets, Yoga Jewelry

Lepidolite Jewelry, Purple Healing Crystals, Gemstone Jewelry

Looking Ahead to the Fall

Now that the summer is winding down, I'm looking forward to a lot for the end of the year. I have some big plans for Holy Noley (what else is new ;] ) and can't wait to crack down and really get into the nitty-gritty of it.

Hope you all had a fabulous summer! See you next month for the next update!

Looking Back : May in Review

Jewelry Sneak Peek, Preview of Holy Noley, Bracelets, Necklaces, Earrings

So I won't lie, I kind of took a break in May

I've been dealing with some things in my personal life so I didn't really have time to focus on the business. I hate saying that, because I know I could have made time for it but I just didn't. Quite honestly, I had hit a bit of a brick wall in terms of what I wanted to do design-wise, as well as started falling into that vicious cycle of comparing myself to others. But after a few weeks of rest I am happy to say that even though the crazy personal life stuff has yet to settle, I am ready to push forward.

So what better way to get back into the swing of things is there than to do a HUGE shop update with close to 30 new pieces?

Let me just say that I am supremely proud of this update too. These are probably some of my best pieces yet ( I know I say this every time but I mean it!) and the first time that my work has a cohesive line feel to it. And because I love you all so much, I have included a few preview images below!

Looking Back : March & April in Review

Elephant Tiger's Eye Charm bracelet

Is it just me or have the last two months flew by?

I can't believe it is already May...where is this year going? Things have been pretty busy on the Holy Noley front so I thought I would take this post to look back at what has been happening!

What's In My (Jewelry) Bag

One of my main goals for 2016 is to finally get my act together with this blog. I know I've said it a million times but I am determined to make it so this time. I have a do-able content calendar created for the next few months so we'll see how it goes!

Onward we go : Jewelry Tuesdays

For my first new change, I decided to implement "Jewelry Tuesdays". Every Tuesday I will be posting a different piece related to different aspects of jewelry. This week I decided to do a mash-up of a "What's In My Bag" post and a "Studio Tour" post. I'm calling it a "What's In My Jewelry Bag" post, (clever, I know!)

Fri-DIY: Lavender Filled Sleep Mask

Hi there!

So I don't know if i'm in a minority here when I say that I just cannot sleep without a sleeping mask on. This started when I first started dating Bri and he would go to bed way later than I would and the light from the TV would keep me up. To help get some sleep, I bought myself a cheap sleep mask from Michaels. My love affair started from there.

I've been playing around with this idea for awhile of a lavender filled mask, as lavender is known for its calming properties and scent. I finally decided to give it a try, and let me tell you not only was it easy to make, it still smells great and the scent definitely helps me sleep more soundly at night.
